Mark David Hayden

December 7, 1966 - September 24, 2020

Mark David Hayden, age 53 and a resident of Franklinton, died early Thursday morning September 24, 2020 at his home. He was a 1985 graduate of Bowling Green High School where he played on the Buccaneer football and baseball teams. Mark was an active member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and loved being a part of his Sunday School class. He always enjoyed raccoon hunting, deer hunting and spending time in the outdoors. He had a passion for training coon hounds and often raised Professional Kennel Club Registered Coon Hounds. Mark loved watching football games, especially the LSU Tigers, and NASCAR races. He was an accomplished member of Gracie United Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Franklinton. Mark always loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survived by: Daughter: Mar’Kayla Danielle Taylor of Pine; Granddaughters: Lai’La Taylor, Leiah Taylor; Step-daughter: Amber Alexander of Picayune; Father and Step-mother: Brookie and Lindy Hayden of Wilmer; Mother and Step-father: Gail and William “Bill” Stiles of Covington; 2 Sisters and Brothers in law: Jill Hayden Miller and Toby Miller, Melanie Hayden Varnado and Chad Varnado all of Ponchatoula; Step-brother and Sister in law: Morgan and Morgan Reid of Niceville, FL; Step-sister and Brother in law: Suzette and Greg Alack of Hammond; 4 Nieces and a Nephew: Caitlin Miller, Allison Miller, Lindsey Miller, Camryn Hayden, Nicholas Varnado; Companion: Brandi Welch and her 2 daughters; Also numerous aunts, uncles and other family members

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Brooklyn Hayden, Sr. and Mayme Hayden, C.J. and Geraldine Primes and an uncle Ricky Hayden.

A private memorial service is planned for his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are being accepted to provide financial assistance for his granddaughters.
