Larry Lafoy Lott, Sr.

September 15, 1943 - August 30, 2020

Larry Lafoy Lott, Sr., age 76 and a resident of Franklinton, died Sunday evening August 30, 2020 at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He was born on September 15, 1943 and a member of Mt. Zion United Pentecostal Church. Larry was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War Era, serving in the 40th Signal Battalion at Fort Bragg, NC. For most of his life, he worked as a lineman and breakman for ICG. Larry loved planting a garden each year and fishing and he also enjoyed squirrel hunting. He always loved playing cards with his grandchildren and drinking a good cup of coffee.

Survived by: 3 Children and Spouses: Samantha and Raymond Robinson, Larry L. Lott, Jr. and Darlene Lott, Carla and James Hebert; Sister: Eunice Hickman; 14 Grandchildren; 23 Great-grandchildren; Special Friend: Brenda Lott; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents James V. Lott and Lucy Creel Lott, brothers Herbert, Doyle, Paul Ray, Ralph, Woodrow, Ted, and Dorman Lott, sisters Ruby Harris and Vernis Caves.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday September 4th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Friday with Rev. Leon Hickman officiating. Burial will follow, alongside his family, in the Tyson Cemetery.
