Minor Traffic Stop Develops into Car Chase, Foot Chase, Flipped Car, Hospital Visit, and Jail for Slidell Man

Treyvon Warren (22) of Slidell is in custody following a brief pursuit Tuesday (August 4, 2020) afternoon
in Slidell.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., a St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s deputy was attempting to conduct a traffic stop on a Toyota Camry, which was being driven by Warren in the area of Amos Road near Slidell. Warren failed to stop and instead sped down Amos Road, turning onto Highway 11. While driving at a high rate of speed, Warren lost control of the vehicle and the Camry flipped coming to rest upside down, just south of Spiehler Road.

Warren fled the vehicle and attempted to escape on foot but was quickly captured by deputies and taken into custody. He was transported to an area hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Upon his release, he will be booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on the charges of Texting While Driving, Driving Under Suspension, Aggravated Flight from Officer, and on an outstanding warrant for contempt of court.
