Two FPD Officers Awarded the American Police Hall of Fame's Life Saving Award and the Silver Star for Bravery.

Two Franklinton Police Officers were recognized Tuesday (July 28, 2020) for their heroic actions that
saved a woman's life on February 25, 2020. Sergeant William Manning and Lieutenant James Holmes were presented the American Police Hall of Fame's Life Saving Award and the Silver Star for Bravery.

The two officers had responded to a fire at the Fairgrounds Apartments in Franklinton. Their heroic actions saved a woman's life. Chief Justin Brown submitted their names and information to the American Police Hall of Fame who issued the two awards to the deserving officers.

The video and Chief Brown's comments best tells the story. Later, each of the Aldermen praised the efforts of the two officers and also recognized the fine work of the entire Franklinton Police Department on a daily basis.
