Bogalusa City Schools Reopening Plan (As of July 9, 2020)

➢ School Plans Correspond with Louisiana Phases

• Phase 1: All students will participate in Virtual Learning unless otherwise notified. More information will be provided if the state moves into Phase 1.
• Phase 2: Students Pre-K through 12 grade will follow a Hybrid schedule consisting of both face-to-face learning as well as distance learning. Students will be split into two groups and attend school two days a week. All students will participate in required distance learning activities when they are not physically on campus. More details to follow soon.
• Phase 3: Students in all grades will move into a traditional schedule on campus. We will continue to follow restrictions and guidelines from the CDC and the OPH as needed.

➢ Virtual Program options

• Full virtual options are available for children Pre-K through 12 grade. For more information go to www.bogschools.org and click on Virtual learning.
• A high quality curriculum will be used.
• Students will be provided a Chromebook for use in Virtual Learning.
• Students must have access to reliable internet connectivity.
• Students must commit to the Virtual Program for a complete semester.

➢ Preparing for a safe start

• Protocols will be in place as recommended by the OPH and CDC for prevention of the virus.
• Students’ and staff members’ temperatures will be taken daily.
• Social distancing will be required to the greatest extent possible.
• Hand washing protocols will be followed.
• Face coverings for students in grades 3 – 12 are strongly recommended to the greatest extent possible.
• Faculty and staff will wear masks.
