Walter Dale "David" Morgan
August 05, 1956 - June 12, 2020



Walter Dale (David) Morgan was born to the late Thadis Lafayette and Beatrice Smothers Morgan on August 5, 1956, in Bogalusa, LA.  He departed this life on June 12, 2020, in Bogalusa, LA.

He attended the 8th Ward Elementary School, and Clinton East Feliciana High School in Clinton, LA.  David graduated from Bogalusa High School in 1974. He was employed with the Bogalusa City Schools for 32 years and worked with the Maintenance Crew. He was active member of the Deacons for Defense, volunteered as Little League Baseball Coach, and President of the Local Union for the Bogalusa City Schools.

At an early age David accepted Christ and was baptized at Metropolitan Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: son: David Morgan (Alicia), Gulfport, MS; special friend, Wanda Matthews; step-daughter: Courtney Matthews; two grandsons: Kamden Morgan and David Morgan, Jr, Gulfport, MS; Sisters: Hazel Viamill, St. Louis, MO; Mary Morgan, Conyers, GA, Carolyn Brown, Stone Mt, GA; Joycelyn Johnson, McKinney, TX and Catherine Morgan, Clarkston, GA; brothers: Joseph Pennington, St. Louis, MO; Thadis Morgan, Jr. Decatur, GA; John Morgan, Quincy, MA and James Morgan, Decatur, GA; one aunt, Pearlie Morgan, San Francisco, CA and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by Beatrice Smothers Morgan and Thadis Morgan, Sr., Robert Morgan, Ruth Jefferson and Dream Morgan.
