LaToya Lynette Span
October 30, 1982 - March 30, 2020



LaToya Lynette Span was a resident of Covington, LA. She was reared in Bogalusa, LA. She accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Bishop Alfred N. Young, Sr. She graduated from Covington High School. She continued her membership at Faith Bible Church in Covington, LA under the leadership of Dr. Alfred Nathan Young, Jr.

If you are missing me, just search your heart
and there you will find me.
You know I will be there in one form or another;
Please don’t cry because I’m gone;
Instead be happy that I was here.
Today, I’m happy
No pain and no suffering.

She leaves to cherish her precious and loving memories; parents, Gregory James Span, Sr. and Debra Ann Peters; siblings, Stephanie P. Monar of Texas, Gregory James Span, Jr. of Covington, LA, Carlos Xavier Peters of Gulfport, MS, Tandra (Kevin) Garvin of Arizona; the love of her life, Gerald Dangerfield (Finance); grandmother, Mrs. Clementine Davis; five nieces, Dajah, DeArion, Samathan, and Kelsey; three nephews, Kobe James, Anthony, and Kash Span; two God sisters; four God brothers; two uncles, Jeffery (Ann) Conerly of New Orleans, LA and Lee (Sonia) Conerly of Seattle Washington; and a host of cousins, family, and friends.

Lotoya Span lies in rest with Crain and Son Funeral Home in Bogalusa, LA. A private graveside service will take place on Friday, April 3, 2020 at 11:00 pm at Bogalusa Cemetery located in Bogalusa, LA.

Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
