Robert Keith FitzSimons, age 64 and a resident of the Springhill Community, died Thursday afternoon March 12, 2020 at Tulane University Hospital in New Orleans. He was a native and former longtime resident of St. Tammany Parish. Keith was a row crop farmer for many years before becoming the owner/operator of his own feed mill, Quality Feeds, manufacturing cattle and equine feed as well as bagging corn and other products. Keith developed a variety of horse feed that received national acclaim and was used all over the country including at Belmont Park in New York and other well-known tracks across the United States. The feed was recognized by a national horse industry magazine as the #1 available, and Keith was always proud of that accomplishment. He later entered the beef cattle business of differing breeds including Charolais, Angus and his favorite Brahman.
