COVID-19 Update (Louisiana) March 17, 2020 at 5:30 pm

Since yesterday, the number of reported Louisiana cases has increased from 136 to 196. Two of the deaths, a 58-year-old and a 53-year-old, both reported to have underlying medical conditions, were Orleans Parish residents being treated at Touro Infirmary Hospital and Medical Center in New Orleans. Two of the deaths, an 84-year-old resident and an 80-year-old, were Orleans Parish residents who lived at Lambeth House, an assistant living facility in Orleans Parish.
