COVID-19 Update (Louisiana) March 16, 2020 at 5:30 pm

Since the previous update of 9:30 am this morning, the number of cases reported in Louisiana has increased from 114 to 136, deaths reported has risen from 2 to 3, and the number of parishes with reported cases has increased from 10 to 11.

Two of the deaths, a 58-year-old and a 53-year-old, both reported to have underlying medical conditions, were Orleans Parish residents being treated at Touro Infirmary Hospital and Medical Center in New Orleans. The third reported death is of a 84-year-old resident of Lambeth House, an assistant living facility in Orleans Parish.
