John Clyde Brock
October 19, 1941 - February 17, 2020



John Clyde Brock, age 78 and a resident of Mt. Hermon, passed away Monday morning February 17, 2020 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He was retired from the Greater New Orleans Causeway Police. John enjoyed working on his farm, playing music, spending time with his family, but most importantly socializing. He never met a strange no matter where he went. Earlier in life, John owned a Television Sales and Repair Business in Washington Parish. He was a former Washington Parish Sheriff’s Deputy and at one time was the Constable of Ward 2 and also served on the Washington Parish Police Jury. He will be truly missed by all who loved him.

Survived by: Daughter: Kathy Brock Cook of Livingston, LA; Granddaughters and Spouses: Katelyn Cook of Lafayette, LA, Ashlyn Cook of Prairieville, LA, Heather Brock of Mt. Hermon, Brytanni and Ted Weems, Kristie and Marcus Cook all of Walker, LA; Grandson and Spouse: Charles and Danika Brock of Mt. Hermon; Great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Haylee, True, Grey, Bella, Lynleigh, John David and Maddie; Brothers and Sisters in law: Edsel and Dale Brock, Daniel and Janet Brock all of Franklinton, Bart Brock of Dillon, CO; Sister: Virginia Moffett of Aragon, GA; Also numerous nieces, nephews and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Simmons Brock, son John David Brock, father Clyde Brock, mother Lula Varnado, sister in law Mary Brock.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday February 21st from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Saturday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Saturday with Rev. Raymond Garcia officiating. Burial will follow in the Bogue Chitto Baptist Church Cemetery.
