LSU AgCenter Will Hold Lawn Care and Propagation Classes

The LSU AgCenter will offer a class on Lawn Care in Louisiana on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at
LSU AgCenter’s Washington Parish office in Franklinton (1104-B Bene St.). A class on Propagating Plants at Home will be held on Monday, April 6, 2020, at LSU AgCenter’s Tangipahoa Parish office in Amite (305 East Oak Street). Both classes will be from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.

In the lawn care class, Horticulture Agent Mary Helen Ferguson will cover topics such as choosing and establishing turfgrasses; fertilizing lawns; and managing common weeds, insects, and diseases of turf. Louisiana Master Gardener and retired LSU AgCenter Agent Annie Coco will address layering, stem cuttings, and starting plants from seed in the propagation class.
