Suspects Sought in Theft of ATM at Arcola

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two subjects responsible for destroying a local storefront and stealing an ATM.

Around 1:00 a.m. on January 20, 2020, two subjects crashed a minivan into the Quickway on U.S. 51 in Arcola before driving away with an ATM. Surveillance video from the scene shows a silver Dodge Caravan (an early 2000 model) and two suspects backing the minivan into the convenience store, destroying the front entry and compromising the support system for the ATM. The suspects then grab the machine, load it into the vehicle and drive away.

The suspects are still unknown at this time. Anyone having information or who may be able to identify either subject is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800.554.5245. The lead investigator on this case is Detective Terry Lane, 985.345.6150.
