Chuck Harland
August 19, 1943 - January 24, 2020



Charles E. "Chuck" Harland, age 76 and a resident of the Oak Grove Community, died Friday morning January 24, 2020 at his home. He was a self-employed contractor that worked throughout the area, applying home siding and other construction projects. Chuck was a veteran of the United States Army where he served with a medical unit in Germany. He enjoyed tinkering around the house and working in his yard. He also enjoyed small electronics and other gadgets. Chuck had a special place in his heart for his pet dogs.

Survived by: Daughter: Sherry Busby of Ridgeland, MS; 3 Grandchildren and a Spouse: Jake and Taylor Busby, Brooke Busby, Hope Busby; Great-grandson that he adored: Axton Busby; 2 Sisters and a Brother in law: Pat and Danny Craighead, Betty Harland all of Texas; Sister in law: Brenda Rodgers Griffin of Texas; Also several nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years Carolyn Rodgers Harland, parents Charles E. Harland, Sr. and Dottie Guthrie Harland, a brother Otis Harland.

He will be laid to rest with his family in Texas at a later date.
