November 2, 1934 - December 27, 2019

Elder J. W. Graves, age 85 and a resident of Franklinton, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday evening December 27, 2019 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. J.W. was a proud minister of the gospel for 48 years, having served at several churches throughout the area. He was presently the pastor of Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Franklinton for the last 19 years. J.W. loved the Lord, his church family and reading his Bible daily. He would always find a quiet, peaceful place to study God’s Word, many times sitting by his pond with his beloved pet dog “Chubby”. J.W. had a love for horses and still had a couple that he cared for to this day. He liked gardening, as he was blessed with a green thumb, and he enjoyed fishing.
