Margie Louise Ard Smith, a resident of Pine, LA, passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 4, 2019.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, George J. Smith, her children, Suzanne Taylor and Paul Lahvitch, Charles and Tammy Taylor, Marie Taylor Rosenthal, Melissa Cooper and Aaron Middleton, Mike and Stephanie Smith, David and Kira Smith, Tori and Greg Evans, Julius J. Smith and George and Isela Smith, her 18 grandchildren, Tiffany, Jenny, Dale, Michael, Sascha, Kacey, Leann, Mason, Hannah, Jacob, Nick, Noah, Lilly, Maurianna, Lorna, Sarah, Abby, and Emma, and her 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, CW and Shirley Ard, her sisters, Joyce and George Galloway, Carla and Bob Stewart, Pam Ard, Faye and Gary Grainer, Earl and Eva Smith, Ernest and Marla Smith and also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Genevie Ard, in-laws, George and Victoria Smith, her sister, Nelda Bates, her brother, Dale Ard and her son-in-law, James Rosenthal.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home, 216 Alabama Avenue, Bogalusa, LA and the visitation will begin at 10:00 am until service time.
Burial will follow in Rester Cemetery in Varnado, LA.
