The former correctional officers, Brink Hillman, Gary King, and John Crain, are scheduled for an arraignment hearing on December 5, 2019 before District Judge William H. Burris.
Hillman, King, and Crain, are accused of failing to execute their lawful duties, concerning a sickly inmate, who died while in their care on March 10, 2019. The former officers also are accused of tampering with evidence to distort the results of an investigation into the treatment of the inmate.
The officers were subsequently fired from RCC through administrative proceedings.
Assistant District Attorney David A. Weilbaecher, Jr., presented the case to the grand jury on October 30, 2019
