Bush Woman Dies in St. Tammany Crash

This morning (November 13, 2019), Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop L responded to a
serious injury crash involving one vehicle on LA 59 near LA 1088 in St. Tammany Parish. The crash has claimed the life of 63-year-old Marlene D. Williams of Bush.

Troopers determined that that the crash occurred as Williams was driving a Hyundai Elantra south on LA 59. For reasons still under investigation, Williams’ vehicle traveled off the roadway to the right and impacted an embankment. Despite being properly restrained, Williams sustained severe injuries in the crash. She was transported to an area hospital where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries.

As part of the investigation, blood samples were collected by St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office for scientific analysis. The investigation remains ongoing as Troopers review the evidence.
