Obituary

David L. Seals
August 17, 1959 - October 25, 2019



David L. Seals, age 60 and a resident of Franklinton, died Friday afternoon October 25, 2019 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He was a longtime truck driver for different companies over the years and was well known by his CB handle “Fender Bender.” David liked to joke around with his friends and family and enjoyed a great cup of coffee every day on the new deck at his home. He was a talented musician that could play guitar and drums and other instruments. He loved to ride horse and earlier in life was an accomplished team-roper. David was a big LSU fan and loved his family and grandchildren dearly.

Survived by: Wife: Marilyn James Seals of Franklinton; 4 Daughters and a Son in law: Jodi Seals, Casie Martin both of Baton Rouge, Sherry Patten of Franklinton, Sheila and Timothy Bordes of Folsom; 2 Sons and Daughter in law: Bradley Seals of Baton Rouge, Jamie and Kristen Morris of Franklinton; 10 Grandchildren and Spouses: Kynadi Crain, Kyle and Caitlynn Morris, Brittany Morris, Cody Morris and Madison Villere, Jonathan Beall, Jeremy Beall, Chelsea and Steven Lang, Skylar Patten, Jessica Bordes, Jordyn Bordes; 5 Great-grandchildren: Rylynn Brown, Isaiah Morris, Hunter Lang, Autumn Lang, Ella Lang; Brother: Vince “Casey” Seals of Tylertown; 5 Sisters and Brothers in law: Barbara and Tommy Hall, Audrey Barber all of Bogalusa, Cindy Lecroix of Franklinton, Martha and Horace Branch of Tylertown, Kathleen Passman of Franklinton; Sisters in law and Brothers in law: Evelyn Burch of Franklinton, Howard James of Lake Charles, Larry and Mary James of Franklinton; Also numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie Thomas Seals and Evon Toney Seals, a brother Charles Travis Seals and recently by his sister Mary Elaine Passman.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Sunday October 27th from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 10:00 am on Monday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Monday with Rev. Scott Spinks and Rev. Charles Creel officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
