Tangipahoa Parish Designated La. Certified Retirement Area

The Tangipahoa Parish Tourism and Convention Bureau recently (August 29, 2019) announced that

Tangipahoa Parish was recognized as a “Spotlight Award Winner” by Louisiana's Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser and the Louisiana Encore Commission.

Among those being awarded was

Tangipahoa Parish as a Louisiana Certified Retirement Area,
Middendorf's Seafood Restaurant / Hurst and Karen Pfeifer as a True Louisiana Ambassador -Festivals/Restaurants, and
First Lady Donna Edwards, who was awarded the Louisiana Ambassador Award for her work for arts our state.

Founded in 1948, Jubilee Days began as a celebration of the harvest and of God's blessings on the community. It has since become a celebration of the unique heritage of Zion, Illinois.
