Gregory Eugene Pounds
July 23, 1950 – September 15, 2019



Gregory Eugene Pounds age 69, passed away on September 15, 2019 at his residence in Bogalusa, LA.

Greg loved his family with all of his heart. In his younger days he enjoyed running dogs with his boys and his brothers. Football and baseball were a passion and riding the roads was a daily event. He will be greatly missed and eternally loved.

Greg is survived by his wife Vicky Helton Pounds; his children Gregory Brett Pounds (Alicia) of Sun, LA, Lance Gregory Pounds (Christin) Poplarville, MS, Nancy Noel Wilson (Sam) of Starkville, MS, Chanda Dee Winstead (Brent) of Bogalusa, LA, Tori Darlene Pullen (Russell) of Poplarville, MS; grandchildren Reid, Garrett, Jacob, Jonathan, Kayla, Dylan, Levi, Braxton, Brooks, Elizabeth, Austin, Tucker, Tyler, Breleigh, Andi, Emili, and Natali; a great grandchild Kinsley; siblings Ruth Lumpkin of Bogalusa, LA, Barbara Lewis, of Slidell, LA, Linda Stewart (Howard), of Bogalusa, LA, Gerald Pounds (Catherine) of Bogalusa, LA; sister-in-law Marion Pounds of Bogalusa, LA.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents Currun and Bedelia Pounds; a brother Douglas Pounds; brother-in-laws Dempsey Lumpkin and David Lewis.

Visitation will be held Thursday September 19, 2019 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 6:00 until 9:00pm and will continue on Friday from 9:00 until service time of 2:00p.m. The Rev. Kelly Penton and Rev. Keith Sheridan will officiate and interment will be held in Ponemah Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Brett Pounds, Lance Pounds, Garrett Pounds, Reid Pounds, Tyler Winstead, and Blake Fornea. Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Winstead, Sam Wilson, Gerald Pounds, Dave Thompson, Curt Hodge, Randy Pounds, Colt Pounds and Ritchie Mitchell.
