Kentwood Residents Arrested for Child Endangerment & Drug Offenses

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports today the arrests yesterday (September 18, 2019) of Kentwood residents Joseph Hammons (49) and Marylee Bellau (26) on narcotics-related charges.
Hammons and Bellau were taken into custody after arriving at a location where a search warrant was being conducted with a small child in back seat of their car. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed both subjects to be in possession of illegal narcotics.

Hammons was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of  drug paraphernalia, and child endangerment. Bellau was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of CDS II, possession of drug paraphernalia, and child endangerment.   

The child was released to a family member at the scene.
