Brothers Charged in Independence Shooting

Today (September 27, 2019), the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office reported that they responded on

September 23,2019 to a to a shooting incident on Lewis Lane in Independence and found Stacey Howard (44) of Independence had been shot.

Howard identified Altavian Baldwin (18) and his brother Alton Baldwin, III (20) as being responsible for the incident. On September 25, 2019, the Baldwin brothers were taken into custody and charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder of Stacey Howard.
