Brother Jack Gill, passed away at his home in Bogalusa, LA., on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at the age of 80. Brother Jack was a member of Ben’s Ford Missionary Baptist Church for many years. He was the owner of Bogalusa Auto and Sales since 1975. Brother Jack was an United States Army Veteran. Brother Jack was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife Betty R. Corkern Gill, of Bogalusa, LA. One daughter Sonya A. Edwards and her husband Doug of Marietta GA. Two brothers Billy Gill and his wife Margaret of Bogalusa, LA., and Larry Gill of Bogalusa, LA. Three grandchildren Tanner F. Beverly and his wife Ashley, Trevor N. Beverly and Katelyn M. Covington and her husband Tal. He is also survived by many nieces nephews and other family members.
Brother Jack is preceded in death by his parents Ado J. and Willie Mae Gill. One brother Ollie Gill. Two sisters Dorothy Grimes and Julie Sumrall.
Services will be at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 5 PM to 9 PM on August 29, 2019. The Funeral Service will at 11 AM on August 30, 2019. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery.
