Shanda Lynette Kennedy, age 51, went to be with the Lord peacefully Tuesday, July 23, 2019; at North Oaks in Hammond, La surrounded by her loved ones.
She loved spending time with her family and friends, she also loved spending time with her beloved pets Max and Fred.
Shanda is survived by her children, Stanton (Elizabeth) Smith and Sydney Roussell of Hammond, La; Sisters Wanda Kennedy Saucier (Tim) and Amanda Kennedy Knight (Keith) of Stateline, La; Grandchildren Haleigh and Jaxon Smith of Hammond, La; Nieces and nephews, Marci (Aaron) Seals of Varnado, La. Michaela (Joee) Davis of Bogalusa, La. Kyle (McKenna) Knight of Stateline, La. Hunter Knight (Payton Stogner) of Stateline, La. Justin Saucier of Poplarville, MS; Great nieces and nephews Maydee Seals, Beau and Micah Davis, Hank Seals, Kyleigh and Kyler Knight. Special cousin Denise McKenzie, and loving caretaker Robert Breland; also other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents Ford and Dorothy Kennedy.
She will have a graveside memorial service Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11AM; at Seal cemetery in Stateline, La. Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with her arrangements. Condolences may be shared on the Poole-Ritchie website at: www.pooleritchiefuneralhome.com
Her number one priority was providing for her kids, she was a very strong-willed woman and will be greatly missed.
