David Anthony (To Shane) Cotton was born August 3, 1965 in Bogalusa, Louisiana to the late Dewitt Cotton, Jr. and the late Andrewnette McGowan.
He leaves to mourn a wife, Marion Dural; four children, David (Raven) May, David Avery, Phillip McKelphin, and Mya McKelphin, one stepson, Dominique Dural; a companion, Shannon McKelphin of 25 years; four grandchildren, Aiden Avery, Daviah Avery, Gloria Avery, and Lillie Avery; one goddaughter, Regeanna Powell; two sisters, Priscilla Cotton and Annette Hughes; two brothers, Terry Crain and Demaine Washington; one sister-in-law, Cassandra McGowan; six siblings, Oma Holmes, Alfonso Washington, Dewitt Washington, Ruby Washington, Raymond Washington, and Ishun Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dewitt Cotton, Jr. and Andrewnette Williams; two brothers, Bruce McGowan, Jack Dillon; Grandparents, Huhn and Mazzie McGowan, Dewitt Cotton, Sr. and Carrie Cotton.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 11:00a.m - 2:00p.m at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa, LA followed by funeral service at 2:00p.m. with Rev. Linza Ray Cotton officiating.
Interment will follow in Bogalusa Cemetery.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
