John Fitzgerald Roberts departed this life on July 24, 2019 at Lakeview Regional Hospital in Covington, LA. He was born on December 5, 1964 to the late Thomas Joe Roberts and Mae Rose Roberts in Bogalusa, LA.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Joe Roberts; his mother Mae Rose Roberts; one brother, Thomas Wayne Roberts; two sisters, Elaine Johnson and Tyna “Tonja” Roberts.
He leaves to cherish his memories, the love of his life Jada Owens; one son, Donovan Owens of Bogalusa, LA.; three daughters, Tempie Hopper and Jamia Owens of Bogalusa, LA., Deronique Slater of Natchitoches, LA.; five sisters, Shelia (William) Roberts, Brenda (Robert) Crumedy, Stephanie (Eric) Yarbrough, Laura (Leverne) Spikes, Tasha (Brian) McCree all of Bogalusa, LA.; four brothers; Willie (Karen) Roberts of Harvey, LA., Stanley Roberts, Tony (JoLynette) Roberts and Orlando Roberts all of Bogalusa, LA; five grandchildren; Brittany Hopper, Markayla Hopper, Cazayanna Williams, Laderrika Hopper and Diamond Peters all of Bogalusa, LA.; a special daughter, LaSha Hopper and her daughter ZyCarolyn Hopper; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be Friday, August 2, 2019 at 2:00P.M.– 6:00P.M., with the family hour from 6:00P.M. – 7:00P.M at Crain & Sons Funeral Home– Bogalusa. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 12:00P.M. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home-Bogalusa, LA., with Pastor Robert Crumedy officiating. Interment – Bogalusa Cemetery
