Obituary

Amanda Kay Watson
February 4, 1984 - June 18, 2019



Amanda Kay Watson, age 35 and a resident of Franklinton, died early Tuesday morning June 18, 2019 at her home. She was a 2002 graduate of Franklinton High School that later became a medical technician, working at Riverside Hospital and other places in the area. She was a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church but also enjoyed attending services at other churches around Franklinton. Amanda enjoyed life to fullest and especially enjoyed shopping for little nic-nacs. She was a kind-hearted, people person that really cared for those she met and always provided for those less fortunate. Amanda was a great giver of herself that cherished the time spent with her family and friends.

Survived by: Parents: Rocky and Linda Watson of Franklinton; 3 Brothers: Terry Lane Watson, Jason Hymel, Paul Hobgood; Nephew: Wyatt Lane Watson; Uncles and Aunts: Danny and Janet Carter, Suzette Carter, John and Carolyn Watson; Cousins: Stacey Carter Starnes, Robin Carter; Also numerous other family members and many dear friends

She was preceded in death by her brother Waylon Watson, grandparents Doyle and Ora Watson, Robert Carter, Sr. and Elizabeth Carter, an uncle Robert Carter, Jr. and cousin Christopher Watson.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Saturday June 22nd from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 4:00 pm Saturday with Rev. Tim Gay officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplarhead Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
