Jr. (53) of Covington guilty of three counts of sexual battery for three separate incidents, involving women he was assisting as a tow truck driver in Covington and Mandeville. District Judge William Knight set Boudreaux’s sentencing for June 10, 2019. Boudreaux faces up to 10 years in prison on each sexual battery count, and he will have to register as a sex offender.
During the one-day trial on Tuesday (May 21, 2019), three victims testified that on different occasions between June and October 2014, Boudreaux was called to assist them with towing a vehicle, but he took advantage of their vulnerability and touched them sexually without their permission. In one instance, he tried unsuccessfully to force the victim to perform oral sex on him. Boudreaux testified in his own defense, denying all of the allegations.
Assistant District Attorney William Macke, who prosecuted the case, told jurors this case was a matter of who they believed. The jury deliberated about one hour before finding Boudreaux guilty. Assistant District Attorney Sharry Scott assisted with the prosecution.
