Tips from Community Lead to Pearl River Man's Arrest

A Pearl River man has been arrested after tips from the community led members of the St. Tammany
Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Task Force to his residence where narcotics and a stolen firearm were located Wednesday (May 29, 2019).

Members of the STPSO Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at the home of Gary Slaydon (52) in the Pearl River area.  The search revealed numerous legend drugs, Suboxone and narcotic paraphernalia, including used syringes. A handgun that had been reported stolen out of Mississippi last year was also found in the home.

Slaydon was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Schedule III CDS (Suboxone), Possession of a Legend Drug (2 Counts), and Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm.

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Task Force is comprised of members of the STPSO and Mandeville Police Department.
