Obituary

Alfred L. Ingram
November 16, 1944 - April 24, 2019



Alfred L. Ingram, age 74 and a resident of Pine, died Wednesday night April 24, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a 1962 graduate of Pine High School. Alfred was formerly the owner/operator of Ingram Air, and worked alongside his family throughout Washington Parish for over 40 years. He enjoyed working on things and helping others any way that he could. Alfred was a member of Hilltop Missionary Baptist Church but had attended Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Franklinton for many years. He always enjoyed watching his favorite Old Western TV shows and movies. Alfred’s favorite hobby was riding motorcycles and he loved his Harley Davidsons through the years. He had ridden on long trips all over the South and other areas of the country.

Survived by: 2 Sons and Daughters in law: Dennis J. Ingram and Amy Ingram of Fredericksburg, VA, Eric S. Ingram and Tammy Ingram of Pine; 8 Grandchildren: Rachel Ingram, Dennis J. Ingram, Jr., Hannah Ingram, Abigail Ingram, Erica Ingram, Kati Ingram, Gabby Ingram, Rebecca Ingram; Brother: Alvin Ingram of Franklinton; Sister: Mary Beth Ingram Guidry of the Barker’s Corner Community; Sisters in law: Gladys Ingram, Verdel Brumfield, Shirley Scott, Gloria Turner; Also numerous step-sisters, step-brothers, nieces, nephews and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his wife Rose Mary Singley Ingram, parents Herman Ingram and Lovie Hunt Ingram, brothers Douglas Ingram and Steve Ingram.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Saturday April 27th from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 pm Saturday with Eld. Lerand Hunt, Eld. Gary Sumrall and Eld. J.W. Graves officiating. Burial will follow in the Acy’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
