Stephen Culotta Named Covington Police Chief

Stephen Culotta (pictured left) has been appointed by Mayor Mike Cooper (pictured right) for the permanent Chief of Police position and the appointment was unanimously confirmed by the Covington City Council last night (March 19, 2019).

Chief Culotta was joined by his family, friends, and nearly the entire police department, showing their support of his appointment. Chief Culotta has been a member of the Covington Police Department for over 20 years and has progressed through the ranks towards his goal of Chief of Police.

Chief Culotta stated, “I am truly honored by the trust and confidence that Mayor Cooper and the Covington City Council has instilled in me. Covington is my home, and our community has an amazing group of men and women who work for the Covington Police Department that they can be proud of I am excited for this chance to serve our citizens, and I can promise that we will continue to give them the Covington Police Department that they’ve not only come to love but deserve.”
