August 31, 1937 - March 14, 2019
James Larry Amacker, a long-time resident of Crossroads, MS, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa, LA at the age of 81. He was born on August 31, 1937 in Poplarville, MS.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Linda Amacker; his three sons, James Larry (Amy) Amacker, Jr. of Birmingham, AL, Kevin George Glidewell of Terrytown, LA, and Kelly Patrick (Judy) Glidewell of Terrytown, LA; two brothers, Robert Amacker and Gerald Amacker both of Merrietta, GA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James “Red” and Lula Belle Amacker; his sister, Charlene Travis.
Mr. Amacker’s arrangements have been entrusted to Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home & Crematory in Bogalusa, LA. There will be a memorial service held at a later date.
