March 18, 1963 - March 17, 2019
Hilton Richard, Jr., age 55 and a former resident of Mt. Hermon, died Sunday March 17, 2019. He was born March 18, 1963 in Oakdale, LA and was a graduate of Oakdale High School. He had recently lived in French Settlement for several years. Pojoe, as he was affectionately known, was a roofing contractor that had completed jobs throughout the United States. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Pojoe loved spending time on the Amite River. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and grandpa that will be missed by all those that knew him.
Survived by: 3 Sons and a Daughter in law: Justin and JoAnne Richard, Christopher Richard, Preston Richard and Rachel Dans; 3 Grandsons: Justin Richard, Jr., Preston Richard, Jr., Holden Dans; 3 Granddaughters: Lacey Richard, Jayla Richard; Mother: Betty Strother; 3 Brothers: Shelton Richard, Alan Richard, Chet Strother; Sister: Dena Estrada; Niece and Nephew: Kelly Richard, William Richard; Also survived by numerous other family members and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Hilton Richard, Sr., step-father Gordon Strother, brother Richard Richard and a sister Dana Richard.
A visitation for friends and family will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton, LA) Saturday March 23rd from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm with a memorial service in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Saturday.
