Marvin Magee
September 27, 1944 - February 6, 2019



Marvin Magee, age 74 and a resident of the Lawrence Creek Community, died Wednesday night February 6, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was retired from the Town of Franklinton after a career of over 20 years, serving as street supervisor for many years. Prior to his service with the town, Marvin worked at Borden, Inc. for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, growing tomatoes and working in his garden. Marvin was a longtime member of Lawrence Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Survived by: Wife of 55 years: Linda Thomas Magee of Lawrence Creek; 2 Daughters and Sons in law: Angela and Ronald Palmire of Mobile, AL, Mary and Pat Polk of Lawrence Creek; Son: Jeff Magee of Mt. Hermon; 6 Grandchildren and a Spouse: Madison Palmire and fiancé Dillan LeGear, Caitlyn Palmire, Blaine Polk, Brady Polk, Kayla Magee Bryson and Justin Bryson, Landon Magee; Brother: Joseph Magee of Lawrence Creek; 2 Sisters and a Brother in law: Renette Jenkins of Lawrence Creek, Cathy and Preston Singley of Tylertown, MS,; Brother in law and Sister in law: Charles and Bobbie Sue Thomas; Sisters in law and Brothers in law: Wilda and Buddy Branch, Lucy and Jim McCain; Special Family Member: Shanda Thomas; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members

He was preceded in death by his parents Joe Magee and Clearmenthia Jones Magee, brother and sister in law Michael and JoAnn Magee, sister in law and brother in law Georgia and J.D. Moore, brother in law Billy Thomas.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday February 8th from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Saturday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Saturday with Eld. Duane Ball, Eld. Richard Magee and Eld. Don Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in the Magee Cemetery.
