Jean Hinote Moss passed away peacefully on February 19, 2019, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law. She was 93 years old and a life-long resident of Bogalusa.
She is survived by her son, James Moss of Baton Rouge; daughter, Judy Drummond and husband Teddy of Bogalusa; and two grandsons, Scott Stewart and Sam Drummond, both of Bogalusa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lucy Hinote; her husband, Howard Moss; and sisters, Bobbie Thompson, Louise Gates, and Iney Slaughter.
She was a loving stay at home mother and housewife who devoted her life to her family. She was a member of Superior Avenue Baptist Church and the Ester and Martha’s Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements. Her family will receive friends at 10:00 A.M. on Sunday, February 24, 2019 in the chapel at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Clay Norwood will officiating. Interment to follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
