S. E. "Pete" Fricke
August 11, 1934 - February 9, 2019



S. E. “Pete” Fricke, age 84 and a resident of the Stony Point Community, died Saturday afternoon February 9, 2019 at his home. He was a longtime active member of Bethel Baptist Church, where he sang in the church choir. Pete sang bass, always loud and proud, and he sang in numerous gospel quartets and loved listening to harmonizing gospel music. He was a dairyman much of his life but also worked for Borden, Inc. for over 30 years. Later in life he was a successful Watermelon grower and producer, who made the sweetest around. He always enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survived by: Wife of 66 years: Billie Sue Foy Fricke of Stony Point; Daughter and Son in law: Deborah and Kenneth Seal of Stony Point; Son and Daughter in law: Donald E. and Julie Fricke of Stony Point; Grandchildren and a Spouse: Matthew Seal, Kourtney Seal Taylor and Joshua Cole Taylor, Tia Taylor; Great-grandchildren: Maddox Cole Taylor, Eli Williams Taylor, Judith Lee Oliver, Vivian Marshall; Brother and Sister in law: Dudley and Helen Fricke of Baton Rouge; Sisters and a Spouse: Tessie Graham, Nell and Lawrence Sylvest all of Franklinton; Brother in law and Sister in law: A.W. Foy, Jr. and Sally Foy of Franklinton; Also numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents George M. Fricke and Edna Corkern Fricke, brothers Ray Fricke, Fred Fricke and sister Martha Goss.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Tuesday February 12th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 2:00 pm Tuesday with Rev. Larry Archote and Rev. Joe Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
