Larry Spears
August 18, 1955 - February 27, 2019



Larry Lavern Spears, age 63 and a resident of Pine, died Wednesday February 27, 2019 at his home. He worked as a dredge operator with Standard Gravel for over 30 years. Larry loved fishing and in earlier years enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He also loved playing softball. His family was the center of his life and he always enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s games and other activities and spending time with his young great-grandchildren.

Survived by: Wife of 48 years: Sharon Hariel Spears of Pine; Daughter and Son in law: Amanda Spears Jordan and Scooter Jordan of Pine; Son and Daughter in law: Michael Larry “Mike” Spears and Cynthia Blackmon “Cyndi” Spears of Angie; 4 Grandchildren and Spouses: Magen Spears Williams and Dustin Williams of Angie, Dylan and Mercedes Jordan of Moss Point, MS, Skyeler Spears and fiancĂ© Trent Johnson of Angie, Harlie Jordan Laborde and Blayze Laborde of Franklinton; 7 Great-grandchildren: Remington Williams, Kaisley Williams, Kitana Jordan, Kaiden Jordan, Kaiden Johnson, Kyler Johnson, Kindyll Laborde; Brother and Sister in law: Lester and Paula Spears of Angie; Sister and Brother in law: Peggy and Mike Thomas of Sandy Hook, MS; Sister in law and Brothers in law: Sandra and Frank Wheelus of Mobile, AL, Randy Hariel of Perkinston, MS; Also numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer Lavern Spears and Evelyn Sumrall Spears, mother in law Doris Lee, father in law Raymond Hariel.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Thursday February 28th from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 10:00 am on Friday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Friday with Eld. Burdette Thomas and Eld. Doyle Ball officiating. Burial will follow in the Sumrall/Jordan Family Cemetery.
