Hazel Crain Temples
February 8, 1939 - January 19, 2019



Hazel Crain Temples, age 79 and a resident of Pine, died at 5:00 pm Saturday January 19, 2019 at Resthaven Living Center. She was retired after a career as a seamstress at Rutter Rex in Franklinton serving over 40 years and later worked as an aide at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. Hazel was a former member of Pine Missionary Baptist Church and had been a member of Ben’s Ford Baptist Church for several years and often attended services at other churches throughout the area. She loved cooking for and hosting her different pastors through the years. Hazel always worked hard to care for her family and grandsons.

Survived by: Daughter: Ethel Ann Baker of Angie; Grandsons: Nicholas Baker and Justin Baker; 2 Sisters and a Brother in law: Luvenia Jenkins, Verdel Crain Brumfield and Charles Brumfield all of Franklinton; 2 Brothers and a Sister in law: Lewell Crain and Lamonica Schum Crain of Roxie, MS, John Wilbur Crain of Columbia, MS; Sister in law: Phyllis Crain of Franklinton; Also numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her husband Ezell Temples, daughter Rita Faye Temples, son Charles Ray Temples, parents Wilbur W. Crain and Rosetta Stafford Crain, sisters Rosa Lee Mary Crain Caves, Virgina Baker, Ruby Gale Crain, brother Willie J. Crain, sister in law Lynn Crain and brother in law George Jenkins.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Wednesday January 23rd from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Wednesday with Bro. Lynn Martin, Bro. Caleb Martin and Bro. Jimmy Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Gerald Cemetery.
