Ruby “Jean” Hollinsworth Stogner, born in the Mississippi Delta and a resident of Bogalusa, LA, died Saturday evening at her residence at the age of 81. She was born on May 10, 1937. She was a member of Calvary Christian Fellowship Church of Bogalusa, LA.
She is survived her loving children, Brenda Stogner Stilen, Sondra Stogner Hodges, Danny (Anita) Hodges Stogner, Joe (Shelia) Passman Stogner, Donice Stogner Miller, Tim and Annette Stogner; Special brother in law, Johnny (Lisa) Stogner; Special friend, Donna Carroll. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Doneis Stogner; father, Jim W. Hollinsworth; mother, Ruby Monk Hollinsworth; sister, Albertine Walker and Oscar Walker; Brothers, Don Hollinsworth, Jack Hollinsworth and wife Patricia, James Alton Hollinsworth, Sr. and wife Lucile Overstreet, and Barto Hollingsworth and wife Beth New, and two infant brothers two sons-in-law Don Stilen and Randy Hodges.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Poole Ritchie Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Larry Lassley, Sr. and Rev. Mike Partin officiating. Interment will follow in the Seal Cemetery, Varnado, LA.
A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00P.M. – 9:00 P.M. and again on Tuesday morning from 9:00 A. M. until funeral services at 2:00 P.M.
