Obituary

David Leo Miller
May 31, 1950 - December 26, 2018



David Leo Miller, age 68 and a resident of Mount Hermon, died Wednesday evening December 26, 2018 at Riverside Medical Center. He was a 1968 graduate of Mt. Hermon High School where he played baseball and basketball for the Yellow Jackets. David was awarded Mister M.H. S. and also voted Most Courteous by his classmates. He later attended Sullivan Vocational School and worked for many years at Magee Feed, Inc. in Franklinton. He was a former member of the Louisiana Army National Guard. David was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where he often sang music specials during services. He always loved music as well as hunting and the outdoors. David often grew tomatoes and planted a small garden in earlier years. He was always a loving husband, father and grandfather that devoted much of his time to care for his beloved family.

Survived by: 2 Daughters and a Son in law: Cindy and Donald Wills, Crystal Miller all of Franklinton; Son: Christopher Miller and Stephanie Stogner of Franklinton; Grandchildren: Alyssa Simmons and husband Brandon Simmons, Scott Wills, Sydney Wills, Daniel Miller, Gabby Miller, Immanuel Miller, Zoie Miller, Isabella Miller; Brother and Sister in law: Rev. Joey and Karen Miller of Franklinton; Sister and Brother in law: Brenda and Michael Miller of Mt. Hermon; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his wife Theresa Miller, infant son Andrew Miller, daughters Sarah Sims, Alison Miller, grandson Nekoda Rogers, parents Leo Miller and Eula McKenzie Miller.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Sunday December 30th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Sunday with Rev. Scott Spinks and Rev. Joey Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers are Immanuel Miller and Odell McKenzie
