Yesterday (October 18, 2018, District Attorney Warren Montgomery reported the following grand jury indictments:- Jacques A. Garnett (52) of Atlanta of first degree rape of a person under the age of 13. Garnett is accused of raping an 11-year old girl in Slidell between November 1, 2016, and December 25, 2016.
- Former St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Bryan Ricky Steinert (42) of Pearl River of one count of falsely swearing for the purpose of violating public health or safety and one count of malfeasance. Steinert is accused of falsifying information on a DWI arrest report on Jan. 16, 2016.
