On September 2, 2018 around 2:40 am, McComb Police Department responded to a report of shots fired near the intersection of South Railroad Blvd. and Thompson Street. Officers were flagged down by a witness who stated two people had been shot and officers assisted both victims until both could be transported to Southwest Regional Medical Center, where they remain in critical condition. Officers also discovered that a white Nissan Maxima appeared to have gun shots to the driver side.Witnesses stated a white passenger car was seen driving south on South Railroad Blvd. when multiple shots were fired from inside the vehicle. Investigators are currently looking for suspects who are believed to be involved in the shooting but no names can be released at this time due to an ongoing investigation.
