14 Year-Old in St. Tammany Arrested For Terrorizing

A 14-year-old student from Lakeshore High School in St. Tammany Parsh was arrested Thursday evening (August 30, 2018) after making statements that involved her intent to harm other students.
St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives were called to Lakeshore High School after school administrators notified the School Resource Officer of claims made by two students that another student was planning to harm other students.

The 14 year-old student was subsequently arrested for Terrorizing and transported to Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center.

The investigation remains ongoing and no additional information is available at this time.

“We have made it very clear that threats like this will be taken seriously,” Sheriff Randy Smith said. “We will continue to work with our schools and investigate any and all threats at our schools or to the students and faculty who attend them. Parents I urge you, to please speak with your children about the seriousness of actions such as these.”
