Billy Hughes

Billy J. Hughes, a resident of Bogalusa, LA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 8, 2018.
He was employed with the Paper Mill here in Bogalusa. He loved the Lord and being with his family whom he loved so much.
He is survived by his wife Bobbye of 43 years; four sons, Roger Hughes and wife Emily of Laurel, MS, Kendall and his wife LeAnn of Sun, LA, Gregory Holden of Livingston, MT, and Richard Holden of Long Beach, MS; seven grandchildren, Alex Hughes and Savannah Hughes, Scott Hughes and wife Rebecca, Leigh Hughes, Chase Holden, Adam Holden, and Andrew Holden; great grandchildren, Makinley and Jordyn Phillips, Sebastian Theodore Hughes, and Caitlen Hughes, Anessi and Emery Holden, and one brother, Doyle Hughes. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Joe Sorrell and Sister-in-law, Georgia Hughes and Lavayne Hughes, and brother and sister-in-law, Ernie and Bill Seal and Leon and Wilma Seal.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Paulette Sorrell; his sister, Hilda Turnage; his brother, Lavern Hughes; and Brother-in-law, N.G. Turnage.
Visitation will be at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa, LA on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. and continue until 9:00 P.M. with Masonic Rites at 7:00 P.M. and after 11:00 A.M. on Sunday, August 12 at 2:00 P.M. with Brother Marcus Rosa officiating. Burial will follow in Hillview Memorial Gardens in Bogalusa, LA.
