Mrs. Bettie Jean Chelette Racine, age 86 of Mount Hermon, Louisiana passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018.
Born Tuesday, August 18, 1931 in Montgomery, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her children, Dorothy Renee' Racine, David Earl Racine, Sr., Steven Joseph Racine and Olena Carter.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Charlotte Scott, Linda Foret, Donna Kay Ricker, Patsy Verdin and Shirley Ferrier; sons, Reese Racine, Aswell R. Racine, Sr., Leon Racine, Jr., Johnny R. Racine and Columbus A. Racine, Sr.; brother, Ray Chelette as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at The Church of Christ in Montgomery with Rev. David Antee officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 5-8 PM and again on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until services.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be James LeBoeuf, Jaquan Simmions, David Racine, Jr., Mickey Racine, Anthony Racine, Glen Pitre, Jr.
