Suspects Sought in Forcible Rape of 16 Year-Old

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edward is asking for your assistance in locating two Hammond residents in connection with the forcible rape of a 16 year-old female.

The investigation that began April 13, 2018 has led to identification of suspects Demond Butler (39) of Hammond, wanted for forcible rape, and Tonya Matthew (aka Tonya Tillis) of Hammond, wanted for accessory after the fact of forcible rape.

The TPSO press release indicates that the two may have traveled to Washington State in an effort to avoid arrest and that the U. S. Marshals Office and the Louisiana Attorney General's Office are assisting in locating the two.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of these two subjects is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800.554.5245. Crime Stoppers offers a CASH reward up to $1,000.00 for information leading to an arrest.
