Obituary

Emma Jean Johnson
September 22, 1949 - July 18, 2018

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelations 21:4

Emma Jean Johnson was born on September 22, 1949 to the late Jessie James and Lillie Ree Johnson in Bogalusa, LA.
Emma was baptized at a young age under the leadership of Pastor Herman Brown at Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church. Emma later in life untied with Light of the World Deliverance Center under the leadership of Pastor Terri Angela Ruiz, where she served until her illness.
She was a graduate of Central Memorial High School class of 1967.
Emma worked at Pizza Hut for many years. She later worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Resthaven Living Center and Good Samaritan Nursing Home.
Emma had a genuine love for her family and loyal friends. She just admired her sons. She thought the world of them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie James and Lillie Ree Johnson; and grandson, Ai’Jalon Xamir.
Remaining to honor and hold her memories dear, William F. Smith (Smitty); her sons, Kelton Lamont (Jameka) Johnson, Sr., William Frederick Johnson and Roderick Dewayne Johnson; one sister, Eva Mae Johnson; niece, Ca’Sandra; nephew, Jamaine; grandchildren, Divita, Shawn, Kelsha, Kelton Jr., Ayana, Lyric, Monche’ Ree, Rodrick, Cherish, and Rome- Jamar; great grandchildren, Tiara, Princess, and Willie; she was ecstatic about meeting her unborn great grandchildren, Jarrison, and Sa’Kari.

Visitation is set for Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 2pm to 7pm at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa where the Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 11am.
