Walter “Joe” Fournet, Sr. a native and lifelong resident of Bogalusa, LA passed away Saturday morning at his residence in Sun, LA at the age of 80. He served in the Army National Guard in Bogalusa, LA.
He is survived by his son, Walter (Sandra) Fournet, Jr. of Sun, LA; daughters, Alison (Jimmy) Wilson of Bogalusa, LA, Jill (Kenny) Kelehan of Diamondhead, MS; brothers, Jimmy, Jerry, Jeff, and John Earl Fournet; and sister, Jane Varnado. He also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Jessie Fournet; sister, Judy Jenkins.
A visitation will be held in the Chapel of Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. until time of Funeral Services at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Kelly Penton officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Bogalusa, LA.
