On July 20, 2018, following an investigation, beginning in September 2016 by the Franklinton Police Department, Detectives arrested Frederick Washington of Tulia, Texas. Washington was charged with First Degree Rape and Oral Sexual Battery.Washington was extradited from Huntsville, Texas where he had been incarcerated on unrelated charges. After booking he was transported to the Washington Parish Jail.
Due to the age of the victim, additional information is being withheld.
